District Pension Board

In 1984, the Pleasant View Fire Protection District Board created a pension fund for our volunteer firefighters. Currently, the pension fund is managed by Pring/Turner Capital Group through Charles Schwab.  Forth and Associates, PC disburses funds each month to our retirees and completes the tax documents at the end of the year.  The district board reviews policies regularly and ensures that the pension fund is financially stable. 

The pension fund is funded by contributions from the district through tax revenues, interest received from the pension fund, and grant funds from the State of Colorado's Volunteer Firefighter Pension Fund. 

Any board member that is a firefighter or retiree that is not representing the department abstains from voting on all pension matters unless a tie needs to be broken.
